This essay argues that a conscientious effort to make churches a part of new, traditional, urban, formal settings will both better promote the churchs evangelical mission on behalf of the City of God and contribute to the civilizing function of the City of Man, and proposes several practical strategies for churches to promote traditional urbanism.
